Delete Your Account
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This page explains how to delete your VitalHelm account, published by HAM Technologies, LLC. VitalHelm is built local-first, so there are three separate things you may want to remove: your account on our server, your cloud backup, and the data on your phone. Each is described below.
Delete your account and all cloud data
This is the full account deletion.
- Open VitalHelm and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Cloud backup.
- Tap Delete account & all cloud data and confirm.
What is deleted: your account record (the email address associated with it), your stored cloud backup, and all sign-in tokens for that account. This happens immediately when you confirm — the records are removed from our database, not flagged for later deletion, and there is no retention period and no backup copy kept afterwards.
What is kept: nothing on our server. Your data on the phone itself is untouched, because it never lived on our server in the first place — see Delete the data on your phone below if you want that removed too.
Delete only your cloud backup
If you want to stop storing a copy on our server but keep your account:
- Open VitalHelm and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Cloud backup.
- Tap Delete cloud backup and confirm.
What is deleted: the stored snapshot on our server. What is kept: your account and email address, so you can sign in and back up again later. Your data on the phone is untouched.
Delete the data on your phone
Most of what VitalHelm holds is stored only on your device. To erase it:
- Open VitalHelm and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Clear all data and confirm.
What is deleted: your profile, logged meals, kitchen ingredients, weights and settings on that device. There is no undo. Uninstalling the app removes the same data.
This does not delete your account or your cloud backup — use the options above for those.
If you cannot use the app
If you have lost access to your device or cannot complete the steps above, email support@vitalhelm.com from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm once it is done.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, because subscriptions are held by the app store rather than by us. Cancel yours in Google Play › Subscriptions or, on iPhone, in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting your account without cancelling would leave you paying for a subscription you can no longer use.
Anonymous usage counters
Our server keeps daily totals of how many AI requests were made across all users, for cost control. These counters hold no account identifier, no device identifier and no personal data, so there is nothing in them to delete or attribute to you. They are unaffected by account deletion.
